If you’re allergic to wool, skip the Cotswolds Way. Today we had many more sheep encounters and had to watch where we stepped as we passed through pastures. We even ran into a few lambs that let Laurie feed them. Unlike our previous segment on the trail, we didn’t share it with a golf course where the sheep ran amok. That was an unusual day.
Today we left the big city of Cheltenham and are staying in the small village of Chipping Campden. Many of the places along our route are small settlements or even just a gathering of houses. Many are made of a golden colored stone that has a warm look, less harsh than the white limestone from earlier on our journey. It’s a nice change.

Question
Note that many of the sheep have paint marks on them. Care to hazard a guess as to what they mean?
Maybe these are to be sold? What’s the reason? I notice both the shorn & the unshorn have paint markings on them.
