Is a Camino for You?

Saint James Cathedral, Santiago de Compostela

We have been blessed to be able to complete five Caminos. Each was made a lot easier thanks to advice from more experienced pilgrims and online resources. We’ve consolidated the best of this information into a resource list and packing list available on our site at Planning Your Camino

Some of this information is relevant to travel in general–especially international travel. We’ve tried to do the Goldilocks method here–not too much information, not too little, but juuuust right.

If you’re in the Tacoma area we’re doing a presentation on the Camino on Sunday, March 5th from 4:00 to 5:00 PM at the Saint Patrick Church Parish Center at 1001 North J Street. More info at this link.

But a warning–they’re addictive. We’re already planning the next one.

  1. Hi Dennis and Laurie,
This is so great that you are doing this for others. I sure with I was in the right time and space and fitness to take advantage of all you have learned.

We are in Yuma, for the winter in our RV. (Reminds me of Uncle Ed and Auntie Sybil in their RV).

We have run into some health issues. Dave has stenosis of the Aortic Artery. We have gone through a lot of testing down here. They have put in a stent as he had a 85% blockage in the his right artery. He needs to have the aortic valve replaced. We decided to come home at the end of March to have it done in Spokane.

God willing we will have many more years together. Hope you are all doing well! Love, Cousin Janie

    1. Getting old is not for sissies! Hope surgery goes well for Dave. And, there are plenty of shorter Camino options when you’re ready.
