“You can say any foolish thing to a dog, and the dog will give you a look that says, ‘Wow, you’re right! I never would’ve thought of that!’” – Dave Barry

We’re spending a week in Packwood, Washington, on the eastern outskirts of Mount Rainier National Park. It’s part of our sojourn to the Pacific Northwest to visit family, friends, and avoid the 100 degree plus temperatures back home.
We are traveling with Kim and Trev, our oftentimes travel partners and…Hazel, a medium sized canine that they are dog sitting for relatives. Fortunately, Hazel is also a great travel partner and joined us on a hike today. Laurie decided to take a break from creating the Relive video and let Hazel take over.

Click on the picture of Hazel surveying the landscape to the left or here to see the Relive video she created…with a little assistance. Her paws are a bit big for touchscreens.
Unfortunately (or maybe, fortunately) the Relive tracker was in Laurie’s phone and not on Hazel. Otherwise the mileage would have been about twice the human mileage and viewers might have gotten dizzy watching her track when she got the zoomies.

Hi Guys, You amaze me! Glad I can live vicariously through you two!. We are shut down from traveling until Dave gets his hip replacement. It should have happened years ago, but the aortic valve was a higher priority! Go figure. We had hoped to have it replaced by April, but the VA got in the way and didn’t have the folks to okay the referral. So finally it is scheduled for November 10th. I read that we aren’t suppose to travel far for 3 months while he heals. Hope that isn’t true, but we will have to do what the Dr. says. So I’m embracing Halloween decorations I have not seen for 5 years. So enjoy your travel and stay safe! And dang nab those stupid Huskies!!! Love, Cousin Janie
Great to hear all is well. We enjoy hearing about your travels. Stay safe. Sembach pals
We are doing well. Was fun having a dog for awhile.
