Saturday we moved to the coastal town of Padstow, our third location in Cornwall. We are continuing our coastal hike, and soaking up the culture and fun of this unique English county. Since we’ve arrived we have hiked two local segments of the path. We’re enjoying our stay so much that I’m behind on posts, so this one includes two hikes. Both days involved sandy paths without the rocky segments of many previous walks. On both days other hikers, and their adorable dogs, were out enjoying the surf, the trails, and the weather.
We’ve learned a lot about what makes this region of Great Britain desirable—which we’ll share in a future post. But first, the hikes.
Day 5: Rock, Polzeath, and Padstow
The hike for this day started and ended with a ferry ride across the Camel River.

Day 6: Padstow and Trevone
This hike began at our flat and ended in Padstow—at the tasting room for the local brewery. Guess who suggested that stop? Weather was a bit dodgy today but we managed to be in the tasting room when the rain hit. Better to be in a tasting room than on an open ferry in the rain.
