Tomorrow we turn away from the coast and walk southwest towards Santiago. Today was our last day of ocean views on the camino. We made the best of it by enjoying lunch at the last beach bar on the route with Bob, a fellow pilgrim from the US who has done this route before and is a great resource and camino companion.

Even though we’ll leave the coast behind, the region still has plenty of pulpo, a local treat in the region. No need to look it up, there’s a picture of it below. I love it—Laurie, not so much.

We saw some interesting things on the trail today other than the beach. Look at the concrete in the first picture. It is actually flat, but the pattern makes it look like you’re walking on rippled pavement. And, for a week we’ve been encountering ”flower pot” art. Quite clever.

Can I make a bid on the fixer upper?😀
We wish you a blessed, though belated , anniversary. Kathy and Gordon
