The French know how to start a camino. We went to mass at the cathedral this morning and at the end, a trap door opened to reveal a set of stairs. They led down to the main staircase and directly to the route to Santiago de Compestella in Spain—about a 1000 miles away. About two dozen other pelerins (French for pilgrims) attended. The vast majority are French. We are the only Americans but there are one or more Canadians as well.
A short route hike today in great weather. Here is a video of the track with selected pics by Laurie.
